Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2 - 9A

Who: Before conducting my second set of interviews, I knew this product wouldn’t be for everyone but I believed that all parents and pet owners would need or want this device. But after, I realize that there are parents that have older children that are self-sufficient and won’t need this. Or there are people who own pets that have never travelled in a vehicle with their pet. There are also people that don’t live in extreme climates, cars in their area don’t reach extreme temperatures. Also, there are people who just don’t own a vehicle and they use public transportation to get around. This product is meant for busy parents and pet owners that want to take that extra safety precaution.

What: Will this sensor device keep the child safe from all accidents and tragedies? No, unfortunately not. Though it can prevent your child from not only heatstroke or hypothermia, but from getting kidnapped.

Why: Yes, the underlying cause of the outsiders' need are different than people who are inside the boundary. The people that would not want or need my product are people without children or pets or people who do not own a car. They are different than those inside the boundaries like parents and pet owners with vehicles.

Who is in: Parents and pet owners with vehicles	Who is not: Non-parents or people who do not own pets. Those who don’t own a car and those who don’t live in places of extreme heat or cold.
What the need is: Prevent tragedies caused by extreme heat to children and pets.	What the need is not: This product is not to be the only safety precaution taken by parents and pet owners. It is meant to be used in unison with car-seats and seat belts.
Why the need exists: Hundreds of children and pets have suffered from heatstroke or worse due to being left in an unattended vehicle. Parents and pet owners can have a lot on their mind and if they aren’t following their usual routine can forget they are not in a car alone.	Alternative explanations: This product can bring peace of mind and assure safety of loved ones.
